30 Smoothies – 30 Days of Pure Vitamin Bombs (day 1)

Yesterday I started a new challenge: 30 days every day a different smoothie.

It’s a long time I wanted to try out. So when a few days ago I had a look into an old (vegan) magazine I found 33 different recipes for smoothies. That is the moment… I started my month full of smoothies. Every day another one.

You can’t imagine the fruit and veggies I bought yesterday. Mainly from a friend who is growing organic food. So for the next days I will smooth…..

Here is my first one: a red vitamin bomb with beet root, ginger and more.

Recipe Notes

In the original recipe was pineapple, I just had a melon (don't know the name, but yellow inside). Guess you can use any fruit you have int he house that is yellow.

I didn't have fresh beet root so I used pre-cooked. was fine as well.

In the recipe-idea I found the juice of carrots but I used fresh carrots which is the same if not better because has still all vitamins and fiber.

I used flax seed oil because i have it every morning in my normally banana smoothie. If you like you can use coconut oil or olive oil (take the mild one though). Oil is important for the vitamins that only come out with some fat/oil.
