The Place my Mom Used to Live – Travemünde

Travemünde is a beautiful little town in the Northern part of Germany straight on the Baltic Sea and near to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The long beach, the once here established health resorts – today only at some hotels – and the nature made the fishermen’s village to a prestigious holiday spot. Rich business families from Lübeck, Hamburg and even far away cities came here in summer and enjoy sun, sea and relax.

My mother loved to stay here and bought a beautiful apartment, where my mom lived over 30 years.

She passed away some years ago and now her home is mine. I refurbished the place and will let it this year.

Here are some (a whole lot!) nice photos I took during the last two years. Maybe they will give you a new idea where to go for vacation this year!

  1. Thanks for the impressive set of photos. I love esp N°8 (fun) and N°9 (intriguing). I would love to see a photo of the railway station as well. During my visit in Travemünde I was very impressed by the special train schedule at the tower of the railway station.

Thanx for your nice comment! Yes, the railway station is missing, don’t know if I have a photo of it. I will have a look and see if I can add it.
