My First Green Smoothie – a Banana Apple Smoothie

Raw food, salad to drink, green smoothies…. I thought that is really extreme. And after a few days reading about these things one Sunday I wanted to know. And I did two things: looking for a restaurant for raw food in the nearby area and trying a green smoothie.

In the kitchen I found half a banana, a lot of apples and some salad. I put the banana, one whole apple and the salad in a blender, some water on it and pressed the button. Wow.. within seconds it was green, greener, greenest! Couldn’t believe that. And is was not at all liquid but lightly creamy.

I put it in a glass and then sitting down next to my computer – my favorite place. After some seconds thinking about the color and the fact to drink salad I took a sip. Then a second. It was soooo tasty! Couldn’t believe it. It was the beginning of a daily green smoothie period.

  1. I put first the fruits and the water, then slowly the salad in the blender. I let it for at least one minute work. It comes out a smooth smoothie, very green and incredibly tasty and rich.
Recipe Notes

After a green smoothie you forget hunger for a very long time.
