Organic Wine and Olive Oil at Agriturismo Podere Alberese

If one is looking for a silent place where to stay during the holidays and the same near to all major attractions like Siena, Arezzo, Perugia and more – then this is the right place.

An old stable now is the breakfast room and the main house has four bedrooms. There are other houses with 4 apartments, ideal for families. Enough parking place, a swimming pool and a children’s playground.

It is possible with breakfast only, with cheese, juice, homemade cake, yogurt, bread and of course coffee of all kinds and tea. You pay another 10 € extra then.

The rooms are in a country style, spacey and well done. No WiFi in the rooms but in the breakfast room.

The agritourism is farming organic wine (red and white) and olive oil. In the rooms there is a bottle of wine and two glasses to try.

Personal experience:
I ‘happened’ in this place and I hope to ‘happen’ in many places like this. So peaceful, so incredibly silent that the night I couldn’t hear one single sound. The surroundings are beautiful and the old farm houses are really restored with a lot of passion and love for the place. The view out of my camera goes to two sides and is breathtaking. The fog in the early morning coming up gives it all a mysterious look. Tuscany as you imagine it!
As I don’t eat grains, dairy and sugar I could have eggs and fruits in the morning without any problem.
Before leaving I took a bottle of the organic olive oil extra vergine. Very nice!

I recommend:
Montisi is one of many nice villages in the hills of Siena. The ‘Gli Orti Leonini’ are beautiful gardens nearby and San Quirico d’Orcia is a great medieval town. Don’t miss the ‘Giardini Ragnaia’ in San Giovanni d’Asso just after Montisi. An art garden work in the woods and extremely peaceful.
