Impressions of Christmas Markets in Vienna

Vienna… the first time I was there was last winter. We were visiting friends just for the last day of the year. We saw many places, had a kind of round-trip through the city with our personal ‘guide’, a very good friend of mine.

This time I want to give you some impressions I shot on the Christmas markets. In Vienna, they are more like the ones in Germany: full of all sorts of goods, a lot of yummy food, and even better smells, and of course a few places where kids have a lot of fun.

I love the atmosphere, the ambiance is definitely different to the one on Italian Xmas markets and the food and drinks as well. What I liked also was that they weren’t so much over loaded with food trucks and stands. Here and there something. In Germany, it oftentimes happens that it is more a food festival than anything about Christmas.

I had a mulled wine but didn’t want to risk with food, I am always very careful.

Enjoy the photos and let you yourself get into the Christmas feeling!
