Exactly 3 Meters Above Heaven in Perugia

I was looking some nice not too expensive place out of Perugia. This b&b is the right one as situated near the E 45 and the same not in the busy city center.

The house is a private family home with the first floor as b&b. Just a few rooms, a breakfast room and a great roof terrace where it’s possible to sit in the sun and have a nice overview of the countryside.

Parking is possible in front of the garden. A bus station is just a minute walk from here. As well a gas station and a big supermarket.

Rooms: There are three rooms only. One is en suite, two have each a private bathroom just opposite of the room. One of the rooms has four beds, ideal for families with children. The rooms are decorated with a lot of love and Italian taste. Heating is on if one needs.

Meals: Breakfast is included of course. There is a lot of sweets like crackers, chocolates, brioche, cereals, juices and more. All packed. In the fridge there are yogurts and in baskets jam and honey. Who likes cereals or biscuits with milk.. all self service at any time (day and night). A machine for coffee, tea, cold water and a microwave if you like your brioche warmed up.

WiFi: The most important thing for me, but I am glad that it is everywhere now in Italy. Of course all included, ask for the password.

Extras: The landlady makes fresh cakes like chocolate cake, apple pies and more.

Personal experience:
I had a wonderful sleep in the cozy little room. Enough space, even the bathroom, so small apparently, is designed perfectly. For breakfast my alternative would have been some fruit. The night I slept with an open window but although near to the busy E 45 I didn’t hear any cars.
It was extremely practical to have a coffee machine in the morning without disturbing and asking for one. And I could sit there the whole day and have a lot of coffee, tea or water. I had fruits in the morning instead of the grain-filled sweetness and the homemade cake (which looked yummy I confess).

I recommend:
Perugia is just a few minutes drive by car and bus. Lago Trasimeno is so great for a whole day to discover with Castiglione del Lago, the islands and more. Corniciano is named one of the most beautiful middle age ‘borghi’ (villages) in Italy. But also Gubbio and Assisi, Todi and more ancient cities are nearby and easy to reach on the E 45.
