… And the cow bells tinkle!

Most of the people outside of Europe have a certain imagine in their mind when they think about Germany. For some (to me unknown) reason they all think about traditional Bavaria. To me as a northern German who grew up right at the opposite end of the country that seems to be strange to reduce a country to a little region. But anyway it is a beautiful area and for visits perfect.

My sweetie is not different to all non-Europeans and loves the Bavarian region. As I have a very good friend there, we visited her this summer for a couple of days. He enjoyed every second: the high mountains with snow, the green forests, the Kartoffelsalat (potato salad Bavarian style which is different to the North German one), the architecture and everything Bavarian.

In the late afternoon we were sitting in a village having a refreshment, and we saw the cows coming home from their pasture. They all seem to have a cowbell which makes a very particular ‘music’ because when all the cows start to run all the bells are tinkling.

We tried also to enter the cold water of the river at least with our feet. But I can tell you: snow melt water is soooo freezing cold!

Here are some photos of that afternoon, enjoy!
