A Culinary Walk Through Tuscany

Of course I couldn’t resist to photograph all that yummy things I saw in Tuscany. Not all to eat for me but looking so amazingly good..

Very often I saw specialized shops like for olive oil, wine or pasta. All of the region and typical for Tuscany.

Small wine bottles, bigger ones, white or red, sometimes Rosé… they are all so great and definitely to try out every evening another type of.

This is how olives look like before you eat them. Funny: the friend of mine asked me if they are good to eat straight from the tree. And I realized: who knows that olives are going through a whole process before they arrive on our table?

There is no way to miss pasta in Tuscany as well. And they have really sometimes funny sizes, colors, tastes…

.. and they seem only to be made for tourists looking for a ‘typical’ souvenir. Did you ever buy such a pasta? I never saw such alike in a household in Italy.

But I was inspired to try a dish of pasta of rice flour. It’s a very common kind of pasta in Italy and I eat it sometimes. But unfortunately I have the same tiredness after eating rice than after eating wheat. But I loved my pasta with pesto and a loooooooot of Grana cheese.

What about the sweet tooth in Tuscany? Happy everyone who loves and eats sweets with sugar and flour. There are a lot and they look really yummy and inviting.

Sometimes they have also some salty treats. Like mini pizza and that kind of.

I really like Panforte. Did you ever try it? It’s a kind of ‘bread’ made with fruits and nuts. It’s heavy to eat. But is so good!

Of course they was a huge range of different cheese everywhere. I especially like goat cheese. Pecorino is one of the most famous I think.

Of course we had our meals during the day in restaurants like this. Sitting outside in the medieval streets, trying all sorts of vegetable dishes, some risotto and soups as well. We had a really good culinary time in Tuscany!
